AlohaD Terms of Service (Beta)

Last updated: September 7, 2026

1. Scope & Operator

These Terms govern your use of AlohaD (the "Service"). The Service is currently a beta operated by Nao Yoshikawa (individual, the "Operator"). Upon incorporation, rights and obligations will be transferred to the company.

2. Eligibility

1. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If the laws of your country or region set a higher minimum age for using online services, you must meet that age instead.

2. If you are a minor, please use the Service with the consent of a parent or guardian. This also applies to any paid features.

3. Account

(a) Accounts are created with your email address. Keep your login codes secure. (b) One account per person. (c) You may delete your account anytime from "Delete account" in the app; deletion permanently erases all of your data and cannot be undone.

4. The Service

The Service provides dream/goal management, daily check-ins, journaling, and AI features (goal breakdown and mentor conversations). As a beta, features may change, and the Service may be suspended or discontinued.

5. AI Features

(a) When you use AI features, your inputs (dreams, goals, journal entries, messages) are sent to an external AI provider (Anthropic) to generate responses. Anthropic's commercial API does not use your inputs to train AI models. (b) AI responses are encouragement and general guidance only — not medical, therapeutic, legal, or financial advice. If you are in crisis, please contact local support services (US: 988; Japan: 0570-783-556).

6. What Other People Can See, and Messages

(a) The Service lets you connect with other people and share dreams. Only the following is visible to others:

(1) your nickname, @username, profile photo, and bio;

(2) your follower and following counts;

(3) the titles of dreams whose visibility you chose to share;

(4) the cheers and "I can help" you gave to someone else's dream (shown to the owner of that dream and to people who can see that dream).

(b) The following is never visible to other people, under any setting: your goals, daily check-ins, journal entries, everyday tasks (to-dos), AI mentor conversations, date of birth, and email address.

(c) Each dream's visibility can be set individually to "Only me", "Mutual follows only", or "Everyone". The default is "Only me" — nothing is shared unless you choose to share it.

(d) You can change visibility at any time. However, what others already saw while it was shared, or copies kept on their devices, cannot be taken back.

(e) You are responsible for what you choose to share.

(f) The Service lets you exchange one-to-one messages with other people. The content of a message is shown only to the two people in that conversation.

(g) A message from someone you do not mutually follow arrives as a "request", and the conversation does not begin until you accept it.

(h) People under 18 can exchange messages only with people they mutually follow. Regardless of age, you cannot exchange messages with anyone you have blocked.

(i) A dream you have set to "Everyone" can be published as a page for use outside AlohaD (for example, on social networks). Anyone with the link can open that page, which shows the dream, your nickname, @username, profile photo, and the number of cheers. Such a page is created only by your own action.

(j) You can withdraw that page at any time. It also stops being shown if you delete the dream or change its visibility away from "Everyone". However, text or images already posted to a social network cannot be taken back.

7. Prohibited Conduct

The following are prohibited:

(a) unauthorized access, or copying or reverse engineering the Service;

(b) infringing the rights of others, or unlawful conduct;

(c) harassing, threatening, stalking, or using discriminatory language toward other people;

(d) impersonating someone else;

(e) demanding money or goods from other people, or soliciting for business, religious, or political purposes;

(f) sharing sexual, violent, or otherwise offensive content;

(g) publishing another person's private information without their consent;

(h) misrepresenting your age to use the Service.

8. Reporting, Blocking, and Enforcement

(a) You can report a person, or a dream they shared, from within the app. Reports are reviewed only by the Operator, and the person reported is not told.

(b) You can block another person. Blocking hides your profile and shared dreams from them and removes follows in both directions. The person blocked is not told.

(c) Where the Operator finds conduct that breaches Section 7, it may — without prior notice — hide or delete the content, limit access to features, or suspend or delete the account.

(d) Where a message is reported, the Operator reviews the content of that reported conversation as far as is needed to decide what to do. The Operator does not review conversations that have not been reported.

9. Your Content

You own the data you enter. The Operator handles it only as needed to provide and improve the Service.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" as a beta. The Operator makes commercially reasonable efforts to protect data but does not guarantee its integrity, and is not liable for damages except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.

11. Changes

These Terms may be updated. Material changes will be announced in the app.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan; disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court at the Operator's location (to be revised upon US incorporation).
